Kanye West Hits The Stage As A 19 Year Old Starving Artist In This Rare Performance Video Footage

Rare footage has surfaced from G.O.O.D. Music emcee Kanye West showcasing the hip hop legend in his earlier stages of his career back in 1996.

Sometimes when we saw all of the lights, glitz, and glamour of our favorite superstar artists, we forget that they were once starving emcees looking for a chance to make it big. Kanye West may be one of the most overlooked artists when it comes to remembering the hard times, due mostly in part to his tremendous ego.

It’s hard to believe that before becoming a legend on the music scene, Yeezy was just a struggling rapper trying to make it big. Well today we have proof that this was the case. Thanks to the folks at PopCrush, we have video of Kanye West performing as  19 year old up and comer on stage at Double Door Venue all the way back in 1996.

Yeezy may be one of the largest players in the music game to this day, but his rare video footage of him performing beside local artist Phenom over 15 years ago in 1996 shows that Mr. West has put in his fair share of work.
