Freddie Gibbs and Ski Beatz will be teaming up for a joint album set to release later this year.
2011 was a big year for both Ski Beatz and Freddie Gibbs. Ski Beatz released his critically acclaimed ‘24 Hour Karate School Part 2′ album, and even collaborated with Gibbs on the album for the track entitled ‘Illegal.’ For those of you that many not be too familiar with Ski Beatz, he is behind many hit singles including Jay-Z’s ‘Dead Presidents.’
Freddie Gibbs definitely had his breakthrough year during 2011. After signing to Young Jeezy’s CTE record label, the Gary, Indiana native released his immensely successful ‘Cold Day In Hell’ mixtape, which of course made our Top 10 Mixtapes of 2011 list.
It looks like the two will be joining forces once again for a joint project this year. Although no real details have surfaced from the project, Ski Beatz took to his Twitter account to announce that the project was in fact in full effect.
” Skibeatz Freddie Gibbs lp in the works…. just thought i would throw that out there..” Ski Beatz tweeted.
If the project is anything like the collaboration single ‘Illegal,’ we suspect fans will be lining up to purchase the LP.
