Schoolboy Q Says Collaboration Album With A$AP Rocky Will Have to Wait

ScHoolboy Q recently offered some additional information about a potential collaboration project which would seem layout a full length album with A$AP Rocky, but according to the Harlem-based rapper the record will have to wait until both musicians are finished touring.

According to the ‘Blessed’ rapper, neither rapper has time to hit the studio but A$AP Rocky is still interested in hammering out a collab with the Q, although the rapper said he didn’t have any additional details to offer. “I don’t have an answer. We’re trying, we’re trying. He’s on the road, I’m on the road. We’re gonna try and get it together. You gotta have it sound right – two of the hottest niggas coming up. I’m not a cocky nigga, but I call myself [one of] the hottest niggas. But yeah, A$AP Rocky, we gotta do it,” Q told Maurice Garland in a recent interview.

ScHoolboy Q also had a chance to talk about how he managed his career and being a father, and said that he tries to integrate the two roles as much as possible. “It’s cool, my little baby Joy-Joy. I just talked to right before I went on stage. She’s with me in the studio – my baby’s a studio baby…everybody know. Everybody knows my daughter – Dre, everybody,” Q said.

The two rappers have already put in some studio time together as they appear on each other’s mixtapes. Rocky drops in on ‘Hands on the Wheel’ off of Q’s ‘Habits and Contradictions,’ while Schoolboy Q grabbed a feature spot on ‘Brand New Guy’ off of ‘LiveLoveA$AP.’
