Rick Ross SmokeWith all eyes on Rick Ross for his upcoming ‘God Forgives, I Don’t’ album, the Boss sat down to discuss what his agenda looks like for 2012 which includes an MMG compilation album, Meek Mill debut project, solo album, and even a collaboration project with Drake entitled Y.O.L.O. (You Only Live Once).

2011 was definitely a great year for the Maybach Music Group camp, with Wale officially breaking through to the mainstream music scene thanks to his sophomore album ‘Ambition’ selling 164k copies in just its first week.

MMG’s head honcho Rick Ross was set to drop his highly anticipated ‘God Forgives, I Don’t’ but had to delay the project due to suffering multiple seizures that sent shockwaves through the hip hop community. Ross didn’t leave fans hanging though as he teamed up with several big name artists including Drake, John Legend, Nas, and many more for a free project entitled ‘Rich Forever.’

The mixtape was received extremely well in the music community, and it looks like we can expect more of the same from Ross on his upcoming album.

“It’s going be big, real big. God Forgives I Don’t, I approach the whole layout even more meticulous than I have in the past. I wanted even the way I pick the records, the way I’m laying the records, the time I’m taking with the records, the way I want the record to feel, the concepts, the moral basis behind the album all the way down to the album title. I wanted it to fill like a movie, I wanted it to fill like a Brian De Palma film,” Ross proclaimed.

Ross also lets fans know that MMG will be dropping a sequel to last year’s ‘Self Made Volume 1‘ album along with Meek Mill’s upcoming MMG untitled album. “Rich Forever was just the appetizer for God Forgives, I Don’t. Then we have the Self Made Volume 2, then get ready for Meek Mill debut album.”

Rick Ross also confirmed that he would still be teaming up with Drake for the much anticipated Y.O.L.O. record.
