Azealia Banks Announces Debut Album Release After Signing With Universal Music Group

Universal Music Group beefs up their rap roster with the addition of buzzing female rapper Azealia Banks.
Harlem, New York based rapper Azealia Banks has been creating quite a name for herself over the past few months with several different singles hitting the airwaves, her most notable track of course being ’212.’
The young female was recently signed with the folks at XL Recordings, and was supposed to be releasing a new project with XL. Of course with many labels these days, reports began to surface that XL Recordings was hindering Azealia Banks’ career by stalling her projects.
It looks like Banks will be releasing her studio debut album with a different camp, as she has officially signed a record deal with the folks at Universal Music Group. As of right now there are not a lot of details on the upcoming project, but we do know that Azealia Banks has hopes of releasing the debut album sometime in May or June of this year.
